Lauren Gilmore

Lauren has been enjoying the practice of yoga for 20 years and has been teaching yoga in northern Michigan since she moved here in June 2022. Lauren believes in all the ways yoga helps to heal the mind, body and soul. When she is not teaching yoga she is teaching art at Bear Lake School and spending time with her family and two dogs. Lauren enjoys all that Michigan has to offer. She loves boating and water sports, skiing, snowboarding and hiking.  

Power Flow: 60 min

Lauren teaches a Power Flow and Yogalates style class featuring movement with breath in creative sequences. Students will build heat, strength, balance, and deep core strength while listening to fun, inspiring music. 

Gentle Flow: 60 min

Gentle Flow Yoga is geared specifically for those new to yoga or those who are interested in a gentle practice. This class incorporates simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility. Each class will end with an extended period of relaxation. 

Yogalates: 60 min

A blend of yoga and Pilates to build strength and flexibility. Yogalates focuses on core and small muscle groups. 60 minutes of slow-burn strengthening and lengthening session focused on fortifying the mind-body connection and improving postural and body awareness.  Classes begin with breath work and light stretching and end with stillness in savasana. We will move to fun music and break a sweat! Appropriate for all fitness levels.
