Karen Storms-Rohm

An ordained yogini with 25 years of experience, Karen’s approach to teaching combines in-depth knowledge of Classical and Tantric Yoga with a working understanding of anatomy, neurobiology, and respiratory health. It is accessible to anyone and authentic to the individual. The underlying philosophy is that within us is the power to transcend all challenges. Yoga, applied correctly, guides us into a balance of wholeness that is unique to oneself and integrated with Nature.

  • Specialized practices designed for the female body using guidance based on traditional Yoga, kinesiology, breath science, and mind-body integration. In this group practice experience, we cultivate a supportive, safe space that encourages individual expression and self-reflection.

    Women’s Yoga Class Schedule:

    Mondays, 10am: online and in-person, at Kindred Waters Collective (May only) and Green Tara Farm (June-Sept)

    Sundays, 10:30am: at Kindred Waters Collective

  • Trauma-informed Yoga is a therapeutic journey to recover one’s balance and wholeness while learning coping strategies for symptoms related to traumatic stress. It is offered as a series of individualized sessions using choice-based somatic exercises along with guided self-counseling, and yogic mindset training. Trauma-informed Yoga is open to women, men, and those who identify on the gender spectrum. If you or someone you know is interested in the benefits of this practice, please reach out and we’ll decide together how to proceed.

  • Offered individually and in groups, Karen teaches a progressive series of introductory Tantric meditations for those interested in the health and spiritual benefits of Tantric Yoga or meditation practice.

  • These are individualized sessions that use a whole body and mind-body approach for addressing issues of acute and chronic pain, posture, breath, as well as many other health concerns. Please contact Karen to discuss your personal needs and interests.

  • Offered in group courses or individually, this work optimizes the quality and efficiency of the breathing we do all day and all night long. Benefits may include stopping snoring, improved sleep, anxiety reduction, improved overall mood, lowered inflammatory responses, balanced blood pressure, reduction in symptoms of asthma and dependency on medications, improved cognitive function, and more.

  • Individualized sessions where couples are taught breathwork and subtle energy awareness to ease tension and grow in communication, collaboration, and love for each other and themselves.

  • Offered to new or veteran instructors that want to develop their teaching skills, their voice, their purpose, while deepening their own practice. Individual and small group classes available.
